About the Author
Rumbi Petrie is someone who has always believed that no matter what you have been through, your past should not be allowed to define you. Her mission is to share her story, provide hope to others and help everyone expand their horizons as a Keynote Speaker in the UK and beyond.
Rumbi’s story began in Zimbabwe, where she suffered the cruelty of sexual abuse as a child, and came to England at 12. A new culture and environment caused more stress and uncertainty and she had to endure abuse and violence into early adulthood. Life took many turns along the way, even forcing Rumbi to become a butcher so she could support the family business when her father was struck down by cancer. But life also continued to take Rumbi with it, showing her that hope is what would keep her going.
She married her soulmate, studied fashion textiles and started serving God through Worship as a Church Worship Leader. Rumbi began to see herself as so much more than an abuse survivor — she had become someone with an inspirational story to tell. A warrior who fought and overcame.
Today you’ll find Rumbi working tirelessly as a Female Motivational Speaker and Christian Author with a real passion for worship, youth and inspiring others. She believes that as a Women’s Speaker passionate about delivering Christian Motivation, it is her duty to make a difference in this world.
Rumbi Petrie is first and foremost a woman who knows you can break free from your past and be anyone you want to be.
